Circa 1790s, hand-painted tombstone dial with strawberry and floral motifs, Roman and Arabic chapters with inner subsidiary dial and calendar aperture, the iron false plate stamped "WILSON," dual train movement striking on an apical bell, mounted within a walnut case, pine secondary, dovetailed hood featuring a broken arch pediment, with carved squared columns, over a rectangular case with reeded quarter columns, rectangular base with carved moldings, now lacking feet. Includes pendulum and two weights, case door with provenance newspaper article mounted to the interior, interior side with later chalk inscription "Wm. Zigler / Gephard."

Private Collection, Landrum, South Carolina Case door with some chipping to molded edges; case with some light scratches and nicks; age crack to base panel and upper hood; some paint losses and crazing to dial; glass panel on right side of hood is later, front and left are old, possibly original; lacking central finial, ball finials likely not original; base lacking feet; case without key, door locked; pendulum bob missing securing nut.
