Malene Müllertz was born in Copenhagen and trained at the Kunsthaandvaerkerskolen in Copenhagen between 1966 and 1970. She continued at the Kunstakademiets Designskole between 1973 and 1975. She worked at the Bing & Grondahl Porcelain Manufactory and was an instructor at the Kunsthaandvaerkerskolen in Copenhagen and at the Kunsthaandvaerkerskolen in Kolding. Malene is member of 'Keramiske Veje.'
Her works have been exhibited at the Museum of Decorative Arts, Copenhagen; The Danish National Art Foundation, Copenhagen; Museum Het Princessehof, Leeuwarden; Nationalmuseum, Stockholm; Sammlung Thiermann, Hamburg; Palmer Museum of Art, Pennsylvania State University; Victoria and Albert Museum; among many others.
