Germany, late 19th-early 20th century, (5) glazed stoneware steins with pewter lids to include a Mettlach No. 2184/967 "Gnomes Drinking and Playing" 0.3 L stein, dated 1895; a Mettlach No. 2181/958 "Hunter in Rococo Times" 0.25 L stein, dated 1899; a Mettlach No. 2179/962 "Gnome Slurping from a Bottle" 0.25 L stein, dated 1895; a Mettlach No.1909/942 "Night Watchman with Saying" 0.5 L stein; and a Marzi and Remy No.1617 "Tavern Reckoning" 0.5 L stein, all stamped to underside.
