27-3/8 in. blade, the unsigned tang with painted calligraphy; brass mounts feature the Imperial chrysanthemum; a silver-toned family crest is fitted to the sword's pommel; the tsuba has remnants of gilt on its underside; the scabbard has one metal ring near the throat and is sheathed in leather.

From the estate of Major Pehr B. Moller, a U.S. Army Engineer who first saw service in Europe and later in Occupied Japan.

Good estate condition with naturally patinated brass elements, wear to the scabbard, the blade shiny with minor scuffs.
