William and Mary Inlaid Burl Walnut Chest on Frame

Circa 1700, two-part form, burl walnut veneer with light wood inlay, oak and pine secondary, top with inlaid panel and banded borders, applied molded edge, two over three graduated drawers each with banded inlays, banded inlay to case sides, applied molded base edge, set on a conforming frame with spiral twist legs, shaped stretcher on suppressed ball feet.

As found estate condition; top with water damage, veneer buckling and loss; no key; drawer stile surround losses; case corners with chips; base upper frame appears old however, the spiral legs, stretcher and feet are later.
