Wool on cotton foundation, finely woven, the field with central bands of repeating geometric line motifs within multicolor hatchmark borders, on dark mustard brown, with border and end panels of repeating geometric designs, one end hemmed with roping attached to corners, other end with short section of flatweave and then fringe.

Collection of Mr. John Sylvester, Jr. This textile would have been used as the flap covering the door to the tent of a Turkoman nomadic family. Note the ties that remain were the ties to attach it to the tent.
Fraying and loss to fringe and ropes; otherwise good estate condition.
