Born in Normandy, Claude Cambour became renowned for luminous landscapes inspired by the Impressionist masters. Settling in Giverny in 1985, he painted the gardens and vistas once immortalized by Monet, developing a distinctive dotting technique and vibrant palette that reinterpreted Impressionism for a modern audience. Exhibited internationally and represented in the United States by Wally Findlay Galleries, his works remain sought after for their vitality and homage to the great French tradition.
