Louis XV Carved and Inlaid Cherry Buffet à Deux Corps

Circa 1800, three part form, removable projecting cornice, upper recessed cabinet with four open dish shelves over three small flush drawers featuring diamond panel inlays to the drawer facings and the frieze, the lower cabinet with two drawers over to hinged shaped paneled doors with steel hinges, carved pinwheel to the center stile, repeating inlays to the scalloped skirt, paneled sides, whorl front feet.

Insect damage; restoration including reworked drawers; cut and repair to rear left leg; shrinkage cracks to lower right door; old dark staining and scratches to top of waist board.
