Mid- to late 19th century, rectangular forms, the tea caddy with burl veneers and ornate mixed wood parquetry lid inlay, inlaid lozenge escutcheon, opens to twin lined compartments, no longer retaining the compartment lids (4 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 8 in.); the ballot box in solid walnut with shaped brass hinges, pine base board, inset round lock and slotted hinged lid (5 1/4 x 11 x 6 in.).

Tea caddy with crack to lid one and small areas of veneer loss; both with areas of surface scratches.
