First half 20th century, splint oak and river cane with natural dyes, the first likely Choctaw, possibly Acolopissa, of hinged lidded form with tri-forked bail handle (12 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 8 1/2 in.); the second of similar form, without lid, with continuous strap handle wrapping around the base, interior retaining a typed attribution to Iroquois tribe (13 x 10 1/2 x 10 in.).
