Lot Details & Additional Photographs
New York City is the theme of this decorative instrument made in 1993. It is artist-signed no less than ten times and powerfully conveys Carter's vision of the Big Apple. The banjo's pot and head are actually a painted metal cookie tin fixed to a wooden neck.
