First half 20th century, splint oak and river cane with natural dyes, the larger a hinged lidded storage basket attributed to Cherokee peoples, with continuous bail handle wrapping underneath the base (15 x 13 x 12 in.); the smaller a squat squared form with round rim, interior retaining identification tag for artist Annie [?] of Coushatta peoples (3 3/4 x 7 x 7 in. diameter).
