Mark Hewitt (NC, b. 1955), Two Glaze Decorated Vases

Ovoid ceramic forms, the first with a long tapered neck and decorated with manganese foliate designs and glass accents to the shoulder, with artist's stamp to the underside (13 7/8 in.); the second with a tall neck decorated with incised rings, the body with controlled vertical white drips, with apprentice stamp of Eric Smith indicating that it was produced in 2000-2002 (7 7/8 in.).

The larger with scattered firing anomalies and one small chip and a subtle hairline to the body; the smaller with a couple of chips to the underside.
