Mark Hewitt (NC, b. 1955), Two Ceramic Vases

1997-2001, glazed stoneware, ovoid forms, the first with an elongated neck and flared rim (11 in.); the second a smaller vase with small applied scroll side handles and a ringed neck (8 1/2 in.); both with apprentice stamp of Daniel Johnston ("WMH / D") to the underside.

Both with a few imperfections inherent to the medium; the larger with a minor white mark; good estate condition.
