Jugtown Pottery (Seagrove, NC), Two Salt Glaze Bottles

Globular forms with applied dogwood flower medallions at the shoulder and wide cobalt glaze bands; the slightly larger form with a combed band and the circular pottery stamp to the underside lacking the standard central vessel design (6 7/8 in.); the second bottle with attractive orange peel texture and with circular potter's stamp to underside (6 1/2 in.).

The larger with some areas of firing cracks around medallions, the other with some firing cracks and minor imperfections to underside; good estate condition.
