For over two decades, Thelma has been a professional painter whose work is showcased in galleries across the nation and held in private and corporate collections. Her art, which captures the landscapes, wildlife, seascapes, and people of Virginia’s Eastern Shore, has been reproduced by environmental organizations such as The Nature Conservancy and Ducks Unlimited. Best known for her eight-print series Thelma and Misty II, depicting the abandoned life-saving and Coast Guard stations on Virginia’s Barrier Islands, she also teaches painting and drawing through local art groups and the Eastern Shore Community College. A member of several regional art societies, Thelma operates the Seaside Gallery in Bay Creek’s Marina Village, Cape Charles, Virginia. (Courtesy of the Artist's Website)
