First half of the 20th century, wool on cotton foundation; the first with dark taupe field and butterfly motifs, with foliate branch to two corners, and circular decoration, navy border (3 ft. x 5 ft. 9 in.) (wear and areas of exposed foundation, significant wear to selvages); the second with taupe center field and floral sprays, with blue border (3 ft. 11 in. x 6 ft. 10 in.) (wear and loss to pile with areas of exposed foundation, wear and loss to fringe ends.)
