18th century, oak, two part form, upper bookcase with molded cornice, two hinged shaped paneled doors, interior with louvered compartments over seven valanced pigeon holes and three small drawers, the bureau with fall front lid having molded edge and lopper supports opening to reveal a central prospect door flanked by three pigeon holes over six small drawers, the case with one over two over two graduated drawers with reeded stile surrounds, flush case sides, straight bracket foot base, the whole with dark green / black field, raised gilt and lacquer decorations in the Chinese taste.

As found estate condition; chipping and paint loss throughout; shrinkage cracks to slant lid, upper door panels and both case sides; later pulls slightly off-set from the original holes; upper bookcase lacking interior shelves; upper right door with chip to lower edge of stile; feet are old and appear original with some cracks and repairs to the facings.
