Early to late 19th century, likely French, (3) fans in conforming giltwood frames with rocaille pediments and a dusty blue velvet backing to include: a large lace fan with mother of pearl guard and sticks; a lace and sequin fan with bone guard and sticks with carved pansies decorated with mother of pearl inlay and reticulated diapering; and a lace fan with a hand-painted silk vignette depicting figures within a landscape, mother of pearl guards and mother of pearl and ivory sticks, all unmarked.
Largest 18 x 27 1/2 in.
Largest fan with a few small tears and stains, frame pediment with break to one element, a few small chips to gilding on frame; lace and bone fan with minor staining, frame with cracking to pediment; lace and silk fan with losses to silk, loose elements rest within the frame, scattered staining to lace, frame with breaks to pediment.
