Cleveland, Georgia, late 20th century, molded and turned earthenware, signed underglaze on the pedestal base with fish cipher, featuring an allover deep cobalt blue and copper/chrome oxide green glaze, red glazed comb and wattles, with tooled neck, double tail feathers and wings.

Charlie has been a potter since 1986 when he got his start as an after school employee at Sims Pottery in Gillsville, Georgia. He began throwing flower pots and later turned to folk pottery. In 1998, Charlie began turning his handmade pottery into stylish lamps.

Small crack to one comb tooth, else good condition.
