Maynard Dixon (1875-1946) was an illustrator and painter whose work focused on the landscape and people of the American West. His work is held in several museum collections, and is now celebrated at the new The Maynard Dixon & Native American Art Museum in Tucson, Arizona.
Discoloration, light wear, and small spot of residue to lower board; text block with expected light offsetting from illustrations and minor handling wear, otherwise near pristine; glassine with a few chips and tears, and typical darkening at edges; chemise with light wear including darkened spine, a couple of minor imperfections, and cracking at lower joint; overall mild wear to slipcase (mostly at corners); an easily very good copy in like jacket, chemise, and slipcase.
