Lot Details & Additional Photographs
75 x 100mm, being a bifacial medallion of copper with evidence of silver wash, each side has the federal eagle over a banner reading TREATY OF GREENEVILLE 3rd August 1795, celebrating much of the "Northwest" being ceded to the United States. The oval medallion hangs from a late-19th-century masonic collar imprinted with a hand and the all-seeing eye.
Frame 12 x 15 in.
Some fracturing to the collar's silk border; the medallion's silver wash is largely worn and reveals a surface of toned pitted copper. Overall fine condition.
