Armand Frenais, Art Nouveau Inlaid Repoussé Box of Ecclesiastical Theme

France, circa 1900, wooden domed box with patinated repoussé bronze overlay, inset with colored glass and mother of pearl, underside with the mark of Armand Frenais, each side of domed lid features "IHS" alongside Chi-Ro-Omega and trinity symbols, the base features bird and foliate motifs, all interspersed with hammered diapering, interior with remnants of green silk.

4 1/8 x 5 x 3 1/8 in.

Loss and tearing to interior silk lining; overall patination and small areas of oxidation to bronze; chips to mother of pearl inlay; key no longer present.
