An Universal Etymological English Dictionary. Unknown edition (lacking title page). First published in 1721, there were ultimately thirty editions of this incredibly popular dictionary.

The Universal Etymological English Dictionary: Containing an Additional Collection of Words (not in the first Volume)... Vol. II. London: Printed for Thomas Cox, 1731. The Second Edition with many Additions. Illustrated throughout. Although called a second volume, it is complete in itself, and per Alston, it served as a supplement to and "enjoyed a separate publishing existence" from An Universal Etymological English Dictionary (Alston, vol. V, p. 22). Alston V, 128; Starnes & Noyes Chapter XV; ESTC T87514.

Wear to boards including scuffing, cracking, areas of staining and discoloration, and wear to extremities; joint cracking with boards slightly loose but still attached; spines with cracking, rubbing, and wear to ends including headbands; interiors with hinge cracking, writing on endpapers, rare soiling, and occasional foxing; first volume with toning and first free endpaper partially detached; supplement with a few tears, a small loss to one page (primarily at margin), and a small corner repair. Overall about good.
