after Fra Angelico (Italian, 1395-1455), Two Signed Grand Tour Angel Icons

Florence, Italy, late 19th century, tempera on gilt panel within gilt wood Gothic style tabernacle frame, each depicting a full length angel after those in Fra Angelico's Tabernacle of the Linaioli, both signed to verso, one with partial period paper label noting donor and recipient to verso, the other signed "Rocchi a Firenze" to the lower right and to the verso.

19 x 7 1/4 x 1 3/4 in.

Both frames with missing and loose elements, a few breaks and repairs, and small cracks to wood; both panels with light surface marks.
