American painter and illustrator Gordon Hope Grant was celebrated for his vivid depictions of maritime and fishing subjects. Trained in London at the Heatherley School of Fine Art, he became known for his expressive watercolors of ships, harbors, and coastal life. A member of the Salmagundi Club and the American Watercolor Society, Grant captured the vitality and atmosphere of the sea with exceptional draftsmanship and a masterful sense of light.
