James McElhinney (American, b. 1952), Sheridan's Raid, Richmond

Currently an art instructor at The Art Students League of New York, McElhinney once taught at East Carolina University, among many other programs. His work may be found in numerous public and private collections, such as the Chrysler Art Museum and the Asheville Art Museum. He has exhibited throughout the world at institutions including the Greenville Art Museum, Philadelphia Art Museum, and the National Academy of Design.
