Private Collection, California and North Carolina

Known as the greatest French cabinet maker at the end of the 19th century, Linke founded his Paris workshop around 1880. He produced pieces at the height of the Belle Epoque era where the emphasis was on highlighting past historical styles and aesthetics. Linke's furnishings gained popularity due to his attention to detail and use of high quality materials and veneers. His largest commission came from King Faud of Egypt, where he created over 1,200 pieces.

Top with custom conforming beveled glass; a few small areas of dark spotting to ormolu; drawer interior front lip with chip (not visible when closed); no key; the legs with some small veneer blemishes and minor patches; overall good presentation.
