Attributed to Kentucky, late 18th century, two part form, white pine and poplar secondary, dovetailed construction, the upper case with applied cove molded and distinctive triple stepped cornice, two blind paneled hinged cabinet doors with scalloped edge, shelved interior with five lower serpentine small drawers, the desk with hinged bread board slant lid featuring a molded edge, loper supports, distinctive tri-part interior with three arched openings each above two small stacked serpentine drawers, applied half columns, four graduated cock beaded drawers, upper and lower case with chamfered corners and lamb's tongue, ogee bracket feet.

From a Private Collection, Frankfort, Kentucky Top cornice flat trim is later; right door with cut and patches near hinge areas; left door with interior cut/patch near hinge areas; the desk with small cut and patch to the exterior near hinge area; later hinges; interior marring and wear to writing surface; later pulls and brasses; missing locks; later drawer guides; old likely later feet reset and with later bracing; upper and lower back boards reset; upper left horizontal strip later.
