First quarter 19th century, well-modeled gilt bronze figures of Cupid and Psyche, flanking an arched rouge griotte marble monument case with Napoleonic relief mounts raised on winged gryphon paw feet, 4-inch engine turned dial signed "Milan Jeune a Paris", with period two train brass movement numbered "478" with silk suspension and external countwheel striking on a bell, includes pendulum.

Front hinged dial door without glass; some areas of nicks to marble edges with associated areas of repair; missing securing nut for bell; some small areas of gilt loss; movement appears operational, moving minute hands operated the bell chime.
