Santiago Valladares is a Salvadoran painter and sculptor known for his imaginative, surreal imagery. He studied at the Centro Nacional de Artes in San Salvador and developed his practice through early training in restoration and easel painting. His work is characterized by dreamlike narratives, symbolic figures, and a strong sense of fantasy rooted in surrealist traditions.

Since the late 1990s, Valladares has exhibited widely in Latin America and the United States, with works held in museum and private collections internationally, including the Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA) in Los Angeles. His art reflects a distinctive visual language that blends whimsy, psychological depth, and meticulous composition.
