McMurtry's best-selling American Western won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1986 and was adapted into an award-winning television miniseries starring Robert Duvall. Having just celebrated the 40th anniversary of its publication, it is still a favorite among many readers.

Light wear to boards and page edges; spine with mild wear and rubbing, mostly to ends, and some separation from text block; a couple of pages with light soiling and a gift inscription on second free endpaper, otherwise a very clean interior; jacket with slight shelf wear and toning, in removable protective mylar jacket. Very good/about near fine.
