The necklace comprised of short gold beads, finished in rounded terminals and completed with a lobster clasp, the clasp end set with a single full cut round diamond (2mm), numbered NY786 and inscribed 0.990, with maker's mark on lobster clasp and diamond set tab, XRF testing 23KT.

Gurhan Orhan is Turkish by birth but has lived all over the world and has pursued many careers before becoming a master goldsmith at the age of 40. Gurhan Jewelry was conceived in the 1990s in New York and is known for its work in pure gold, pure silver, and pure platinum. Gurhan has received numerous awards, as well as being commissioned by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York to create a jewelry collection for a special exhibition in 2009.
