Circa 1890s, Cowes and Freshwater, Isle of Wight, England, featuring a gilt brass tombstone face with 7 1/4-in. steel dial engraved with Roman chapters, engraved with maker's plaque to the center "J. DIMMICK / MAKER to H.M. THE QUEEN / COWES . FRESHWATER", featuring a dual train movement numbered 65938 tot he backplate, with deadbeat escapement and suspension spring pendulum, arched mahogany case decorated in ornate cast ormolu relief floral decoration, chamfered front corners with Neoclassical figural corbels, conforming pierced side panels, beneath budding cast finials, raised on cast paw feet. Includes pendulum and two case keys.
