A Model Ship Under Cloche

Circa 1900, a model ship in mixed media including carved wood, painted metal, painted plaster, and thread, mounted to a wood stand with turned trim and raised on four ball feet, with conforming but not fitted glass cloche, unmarked.

18 x 18 1/2 x 8 3/4 in.

Ship with several areas of looseness to metal sails, evidence of breaks and repairs, several threads loose, plaster waves with some nicks, discoloration to plaster; wood stand with a few cracks but stable, scattered scuffs; cloche with fritting to base.
