As a kid I grew up isolated, out in the semi- country, no neighborhood, I had few kids my age to play with, no team sports. I read a lot, comic books, adventure stories, vivid imagination. Drawing was my escape, my window on the world, a way to make what was inside my head tangible to others. What few friends I had and I acted out battle scenes with our toys, making up scenarios similar to that depicted here, totally lost in our moment of reverie.
