Late 19th to early 20th century with later enhancements, (4) taxidermy birds including a hummingbird, a yellow warbler, and (2) Brazilian tanagers set within staged setting of branches, dried flora, and faux rockwork, with a newer painted landscape to back panel, all set within a giltwood frame and paper wrapped shadow box, unsigned.
20 x 19 3/4 x 4 1/2 in.
Later gilt touch up to frame, small chip to top right; later painted canvas to back panel with small tear; birds with varying levels of minor degradation including one tanager with chipped beak and loss to one eye, hummingbird with losses to wing feathers; age and tears to paper wrapped box.
