Thomas Ritchie (Lincoln County, NC, 1825-1909), Two One Gallon Stoneware Jugs

Both signed and capacity marked "TR I" to the shoulder, slightly ovoid forms with rounded shoulder and slightly flared spout, featuring a runny olive green alkaline glaze with tooled concentric ring and sinewave decoration.

Tallest 13 3/4 x 7 x 7 in.

One with loss to handle; both with minor quartz pops in the firing.
