Probably Mid-Atlantic or vicinity, mid-19th century, salt-glazed stoneware, unsigned, the first an semi-ovoid two gallon jug, coggled "2" capacity mark to the shoulder over a slip-trailed cobalt floral sprig (16 x 9 1/2 x 9 1/2 in.); the second a four gallon crock, cylindrical form with applied dual lug handles, the shoulder brushed with repeating cobalt clover motifs, stamped "4" for the capacity.

15 x 11 1/2 x 10 in.

Crock with some small chips to the handle undersides, and tight branching crack to base underside; jug with area of loss to rim, and firing flaws and marks to the body.
