Sarkis Hamalbachian is an influential Armenian painter whose work merges cultural memory with a contemporary visual language. Trained at the Panos Terlemezian Fine Art College in Yerevan and recognized as an Honored Artist by the Republic of Armenia, he draws on Armenian miniature painting, iconography, and avant-garde experimentation to create symbolic compositions. Shaped in part by the legacy of the 1988 Gyumri earthquake, his paintings have been exhibited internationally and are held in major public and private collections worldwide.
