London, circa 1860, labeled "FARTHING & THORNHILL 42 CORNHILL" to the interior rim, of rectangular form with beveled base molding, inlaid brass key escutcheon, and lid with period intertwined monogram to the oval inlaid cartouche, opening to twin hinge-lidded tea compartments retaining much of the original tin lining, and central cut and footed mixing glass.
