Circa 1840, cherry and mahogany veneer, poplar secondary, rectangular top with applied rounded edge, two upper convex drawers with ebonized field and gold stenciled decoration over a deep drawer with book-matched veneers and banded inlay over three graduated drawers, flanked by half turned columns with repeating black field and stenciled decoration, flush sides, front turned feet.

From the Collection of Kayvon North, Raleigh, North Carolina Top with surface scratches; old, original painted and stenciled decoration with some surface wear; pulls are old and in the original holes (but with some later corks to keep the pulls secured); bottom drawer with some finish inconsistency; rear feet reset; case sides with shrinkage cracks and splines.
