Circa 1840, rosewood veneer, mother of pearl inlays, hinged paneled lid, interior with removable divided tray, blue paper liner, lower flush drawer opens to reveal a small hinged writing surface with divided compartments, ring handles to case sides, flush base with beaded trim.

Fair, as found estate condition; several veneer chips and areas of inlay loss; no key; deterioration to interior fabrics and lining; chips and other areas of loss.
