Late George II Diminutive Burl Walnut Chest on Frame

18th century, two part form, walnut and elm veneers, oak and pine secondary, finished top with applied molded edge, the upper case with two over three drawers, the base with two small drawers all having burl wood veneers and banded inlays, scalloped skirt, slight cabriole legs with pad feet.

57 x 39 x 23 in.

Several shrinkage cracks including top, sides and veneers; some veneer chips; missing one lock; old but later pulls; old but later legs and with restoration to the base.
