Marvin Jensen is a metalsmith specializing in mokume gane with a BS from Mankato State University and an MFA from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. He was a visiting assistant professor at Purdue and Rochester Institute of Technology. He taught frequently at Penland where he served as assistant to the director and studio/program coordinator. He founded Jensen Studio in Bakersville, NC in 1984. His work has appeared in over 75 exhibitions, is held by the RISD Museum and the Mint Museum, and has been reviewed in Metropolitan Home, Home, Vogue, Metalsmith, and the Journal of SNAG.
