American "Triple Decker" Eglomise Self Clock, Birge, Mallory & Co.

Bristol, Connecticut, second quarter 19th century, distinctive "triple decker" form, mahogany case with carved thistle pediment and lower scrolled stiles, retaining period lable to the interiorcase door with two eglomise panels relating to George Washington and patriotic theme, beneath a 11 1/2-inch painted and gilt square wood dial, operated by a dual-weight driven 8 day movement, with pendulum and keys.
