From the Collection of Francine Pilloff, Chapel Hill, North Carolina David Urso is a jewelry artist whose work is influenced by classical antiquity and incorporates Native American and Mexican jewelry elements. He began making jewelry at age 15 with lessons from a local silversmith, earned a BFA in gold and silversmithing from SUNY New Paltz, and apprenticed with several jewelry houses before founding his own design company. His pieces are handmade in High Falls, New York, with metalwork that is hand-constructed and individually inlaid.
