Alex Caro's abstract figural sculptures are inspired by human emotion and expression, striving to "reach out to our sense of the aesthetic—our state of mind as individuals—our social awareness within our daily existence. To purify the form, to simplify the lines...are my driving ambition as an artist." Alex completed her early education in Cairo, Egypt. Alex studied in various workshops in New York City, with a focus on drawing, ceramics, and sculpture. Before opening her own sculpture studio in 1972, she spent several years in sculpture workshops at the Saidye Bronfman Centre in Montreal.

Her work is included in important private collections in Canada, the US and Europe. Her work has been featured in two major exhibitions at Galerie Martal, Sherbrook St., Montreal, and has been included in the permanent collection of the Weintraub Gallery, Madison Ave., New York and the Gemini Gallery, Palm Beach Florida.
