Late 19th-early 20th century, rectangular Gothic style carved oak case, gilt brass dial with silvered chapter ring and Roman markers signed "J. BRYSON EDINBURGH", with brass dual train movement, works stamped "W & H Sch." for the German company of Winterhalder & Hofmeier (Schwarzenbach), striking on a coiled gong on the half and hour. Includes pendulum and winding key.
