Epirvik Parr (Inuit, b. 1946), Transformation Stone Sculpture

Sugluk (Salluit) settlement, signed "EP / 1027", circa 1978, hand-carved gray stone, depicting an Inuk transforming into a bird, the 48-inch black laminated wood pedestal conveys if the buyer is interested (optional).

Sculpture 14 1/4 x 6 1/2 x 6 in.; pedestal 48 x 12 x 12 in.

An example of Epirvik Parr's work is included in the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec.

Light scuff to hood tip; otherwise good estate condition. Some scratches to pedestal.
